Luke Days, hosted by the Luke Air Force Base, is a spectacular air show and open house event that lights up the sky with awe-inspiring displays. The air show is expected to draw an audience of up to 300,000 people on both days.
This event provides a unique opportunity for attendees to witness the unmatched skill of the United States Air Force. Their breathtaking aerial acrobatics and thrilling demonstrations are a testament to their precision and prowess.

The USAF F-35 Lightning II Demo Team will be a highlight of this year’s show. Also, another major attraction will be the USAF Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds. Without a doubt, Luke Days is more than a celebration; it’s a platform that fosters community engagement. Since, it brings together aviation enthusiasts, families, and the local community.
The air show allows the public to witness the capabilities of Luke AFB and the training excellence of the Air Education and Training Command. Also, Luke Days serves as an educational platform, building community relationships. Because it inspires the next generation and shows off the hard work and skill of the men and women serving in the U.S. Air Force.
It’s important to note that the Fighter Country Foundation does not manage the event. Also, they stay unengaged in ticket sales, parking control, vendor registration, or accessibility.
Luke Days 2024 will take place at Luke Air Force Base, at 14185 Falcon St, Glendale, Arizona. This base is a crucial institution in the U.S. Air Force.
It’s named after Second Lieutenant Frank Luke, who was the first aviator to receive the Medal of Honor. Born in Phoenix in 1897, Lt. Luke had 18 aerial victories during World War I before his death at 21.
Furthermore, the base’s main mission is to provide pilot and maintenance training for the F-16 Fighting Falcon and the new F-35 Lightning II.
The choice of venue is strategic, as it allows the public to witness the capabilities of Luke AFB and the training excellence of the Air Education and Training Command. Also, The base has a strong connection to the local community, making it an ideal location for this event.
Luke Days 2024 offers two types of tickets: Premium Box Seats and the Flight Line Club. Firstly, for Saturday, Premium Box Seats in sections 1-15 are sold out. However, seats in sections 16-35 are priced at $65.00 for both Saturday and Sunday.
Secondly, the Flight Line Club provides an upgraded experience. On Saturday, a table for two costs $350.00, with 46 tickets left. A table for four is priced at $700.00, with 33 tickets remaining. The prices for Sunday are the same, but the number of available tickets is not specified.
Notably, these prices include all taxes, credit card fees, and other fees. A parking pass, required for all vehicles, is included with your ticket purchase. This is a cashless event, so bring a credit card for vendor payments. Admission is complimentary for children who are 3 years old or younger.
The Flight Line Club offers a catered buffet-style lunch, unlimited water and soft drinks, and private “Premium” restrooms. Also, the menu includes Pulled Pork, BBQ Chicken, Brisket, Baked Beans, Coleslaw, Potato Salad, Mac-N-Cheese, Dinner Rolls, Dessert, and Ice Cream served after 2:30 pm. Besides, Soft Drinks & Water are available all day, other beverages are available for purchase. Catering is provided by Truck Yeah Catering LLC.
Luke Days 2024 will showcase two main performers: the USAF Thunderbirds and the USAF F-35 Demonstration Team.
Firstly, the USAF Thunderbirds, known for their precise aerial maneuvers, fly the F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft. Their official activation took place on June 1, 1953, at Luke AFB, Arizona.
This makes them the third-oldest formal flying aerobatic team in the world, following the French Air Force Patrouille de France and the United States Navy Blue Angels.
Secondly, the USAF F-35 Demonstration Team, which started in late 2018 at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona and later moved to Hill Air Force Base in 2019, demonstrates the capabilities of the F-35 Lightning II, the USAF’s latest fifth-generation fighter aircraft. Major Kristin “BEO” Wolfe, the first female demo pilot of the U.S. Air Force, recently served as the demo pilot and commander of the team.
